High protein content, highly digestible essential amino acids

TUBERMINE® GP and TUBERMINE^® FV are the proteins extracted from potato juice via a separation and physical purification process (thermocoagulation).

Characterized by their high protein content (78%) and their highly digestible essential amino acids (lysine, methionine, threonine and tryptophan), TUBERMINE® GP and FV are also low in ash and minerals.

These nutritional qualities are highly regarded in the formulation of young animal feed, mainly suckling calves and piglets.

The particle size of TUBERMINE® GP and FV potato proteins are designed for specific applications:

TUBERMINE® GP: coarse particle size for the formulation of dry products
TUBERMINE® FV: fine particle size for improved dissolution of the product

Produced from conventional non-genetically modified potatoes, TUBERMINE® protein is also approved for use in organic diets.

Applications - TUBERMINE^® potato proteins

Sources of protein and amino acids for animal feed

Piglet feed

TUBERMINE® GP potato protein has been recognized for years as an excellent source of protein for piglet feed.

Its high amino acid content as well as its excellent digestibility are particularly well suited to the high requirements of newly weaned young animals.

It easily substitutes reference proteins, milk proteins or fish meal, and guarantees the same growth performance.

TUBERMINE® GP can be incorporated in pre-weaning and post-weaning feed at approximately 5%.

Poultry feed

Certified for the use in organic agriculture, TUBERMINE® GP potato protein is incorporated into poultry feed to satisfy the animal needs without using synthetic amino acids.

Ruminant feed

TUBERMINE® GP potato protein is a protein naturally protected against degradation in the rumen and remains very digestible in the intestine.

Incorporated in nitrogen concentrate formulations, or used directly on the farm in a mixed ration, TUBERMINE® GP is a very interesting source of lysine and methionine for highly productive dairy cows, favouring the production of a high protein content.

It is incorporated at a rate of 0.5 to 1 kg per cow and per day.

Pet Food

Perfectly balanced in amino acids, TUBERMINE® GP potato protein can partly substitute animal proteins in feed for pets.

It is especially appreciated in the formulation of hypoallergenic feed, intended for dogs and cats with gluten intolerance.

An incorporation of up to 5 % maximum is recommended.

Calf milk replacer

TUBERMINE® FV potato protein was especially developed for use in calf milk replacers.

Thanks to its very fine particle size obtained by micro-grinding, TUBERMINE® FV offers very good suspension properties.

Particles > 80 µm: 2% max.

Its digestibility, palatability, as well as its moderate iron content, are important attributes for the veal calf application.

Furthermore, its light colour does not modify the appearance of the finished product.

Iron content: 90 mg/kg.

TUBERMINE® FV is incorporated in calf milk replacers at a concentration of up to 2 to 5%.
