NUTRIOSE® Soluble dietary fiber
NUTRIOSE® for animal nutrition
A soluble fiber with prebiotic effect
NUTRIOSE® is a wheat or maize based dextrin, defined as a soluble fiber and with a prebiotic effect.
Partially resistant to the digestion in the small intestine, NUTRIOSE® is progressively fermented by the colonic microflora. It acts as a selective substrate for the proliferation of beneficial bacteria in the colon and therefore stimulates their growth. On the contrary, it allows inhibiting the development of some pathogenic bacterial populations, as for example Clostridium perfringens.
It is easy to use and resistant to the different manufacturing processes used in animal nutrition: pelletization, extrusion and sterilization.
Roquette offers 2 types of NUTRIOSE® depending on the plant origin desired:
- NUTRIOSE®FM = Maize base
- NUTRIOSE®FB = Wheat base
