Introduction - GLUCIDEX® Maltodextrins and dehydrated glucose syrups

Maltodextrins and dehydrated glucose syrups of the GLUCIDEX® range are obtained by partial hydrolysis of starch, purification then spray drying.

By definition:

  • Maltodextrins have a D.E. (Dextrose Equivalent) lower than 20.
  • Dehydrated glucose syrups are hydrolyzed products with a D.E. greater than 20.
     

Irrespective of whether they are nutritional or technological, their advantages are multiple and allow them to be beneficial in both animal nutrition and veterinary specialties.
