Introduction

CLEARAM® modified starch for pet food

Starches from the CLEARAM® range are cooked-up starches, cross-linked and stabilized, with the objective of preserving the traditional functional properties of the starch in spite of the industrial manufacturing constraints.
 

  • The cross-linking provides increased resistance to shearing, heat and acidity.
  • The stabilization reduces any tendency to syneresis and avoids gel set-back and texture change after manufacturing.

These starches are mainly used for the manufacture of sauces for wet petfood in cans or pouches.
